Sylvia Cuenca Quartet

Sylvia Cuenca is a dynamic drummer active in the New York and SF Bay Area jazz scenes, known for her contributions alongside jazz greats. She toured extensively with saxophone legend Joe Henderson for four years and played with trumpet legend Clark Terry for 17 years, performing at iconic venues like Village Vanguard, Birdland, and the Blue Note, and on international stages across Europe and the Americas. Cuenca’s extensive collaborations include performances with jazz luminaries such as Billy Taylor, Michael Brecker, Kenny Barron, and Dianne Reeves. Her versatility spans from working with pop icon Alicia Keys at Black Girls Rock to sharing the stage with Albert "Tootie" Heath at Dizzy's Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center.
